Chief Clinical Officer, Oviva
Lucy Jones is the Chief Clinical Officer at Oviva, a company transforming the way people access chronic disease care through their technology. Over the past 9 years in role, Lucy has led the development of Oviva’s care pathways in obesity and type 2 diabetes and built the evidence base surrounding them through a mix of clinical trials and real-world evidence. By background, she is an experienced dietitian, having worked in numerous London hospitals and specialises in managing obesity and metabolic syndrome. She is well known for her television presenting roles including Channel 4’s The Food Hospital, ITV’s The Alan Titchmarsh Show, BBC1’s Eat Well for Less and Channel 4’s Sugar Rush with Jamie Oliver. As a media spokesperson for the British Dietetic Association, she regularly appeared on television, radio and written press providing expert comment on nutrition news stories including Sky News, BBC, ITV and Channel 4. In 2013, she was named BDA’s media spokesperson of the Year and Nutrition and Health’s Nutrition writer and Broadcaster of the year. After graduating with 1st class honours in Human Nutrition and Dietetics, she went on to complete a Masters in Clinical Research with the University of Manchester. She has undertaken significant postgraduate training in behaviour change in order to support patients with effective lifestyle changes. Outside of Oviva, Lucy is a member of the Professional Committee for the British Dietetic Association, providing strategic guidance and decisions about the association’s activities. She is also a founding trustee of the Make Way Foundation charity.
