Innovation Advisor, Clean Growth UK
Dougal Fleming is a powerful and passionate advocate for the role of the divine feminine in the modern economic, social and environmental paradigm. Since becoming a student of the work done by Ellen MacArthur on the circular economy regarding how products are designed, used and discarded he has seen that many of the lessons that society needs to learn are those inherent to a feminine origin. As well as the Doughnut Economic framework developed by Kate Raworth, which gives us a more holistic way of seeing GDP, including social & environmental considerations, he sees leadership nationally and locally being done best by women. Dougal also believes there is a critical need to evolve and adapt the world of work, to be more considerate of the cycles of women. He claims that If humanity is able to unblock the full power of the feminine in this next economic paradigm, this will be a vital step to ensure that we are able to build the biodiversity needed to grow materials and products of the future. In his role as an Innovation Advisor Dougal helps people connect into the University of Brighton’s Clean Growth UK to develop business models to be in tune with the circular economy, and therefore research worthy. He also guides & facilitates adventure experiences of the South Downs.
